School Psychologist
School psychologists are uniquely qualified members of school teams that support students’ ability to learn and teachers’ ability to teach. They apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior, to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. School psychologists partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community.
The School Psychologist is a required member for many special education meetings. Our School Psychologist can provide a variety of services to school special education teams including:
- Participation in evaluation planning, re-evaluation and eligibility meetings.
- Prepare required paperwork in Enrich for meetings.
- Complete comprehensive evaluations and provide report to the school team.
- Guide the school teams through the eligibility process.
- Conduct functional behavioral assessments and behavior interventions.
- Consult with school staff on compliance issues.
Speech and Language Therapist
Speech and Language Therapist, also referred to at SLP’s are specialist in communication. Speech and Language therapist assess and treat many types of communication disorders including fluency, language, articulation, social communication, and voice.
The Speech and Language Therapist serves as a case manager for students with Speech and Language Disability and provides the following services:
- Participate in evaluation planning, re-evaluation, and eligibility meetings related to students with communication problems.
- Prepare required paperwork in Enrich for meetings.
- Complete speech and language evaluations and produce written report and recommendations.
- Provide speech and language therapy to students.
- Complete all required IEP paperwork in Enrich for speech and language students.
Occupational Therapist
The Occupational Therapist provides therapy that addresses the physical, cognitive, psychosocial and sensory components that may impact a student in a school setting. These services can range from addressing handwriting problems to sensory issues.
The Occupational Therapist work closely with special education teams to provide OT which is typically considered a related service on an IEP. The following services are provided by our Occupational Therapist:
- Participate in evaluation planning, re-evaluation, and eligibility meetings related to students with OT needs.
- Complete OT evaluation and produce written report and recommendations.
- Provide occupational therapy to students.
- Complete all required IEP paperwork in Enrich for students receiving OT.
